Binnopharm to pay 35.7 mln rbl in windfall profit tax till Dec

MOSCOW, Aug 29 (PRIME) -- Pharmaceutical company Binnopharm Group, part of multi-industry holding company Sistema, plans to pay 35.7 million rubles in the windfall profit tax until December, the company said in a report late on Monday.

The amount will be reflected in a report of the company for July–December.

Earlier in August, Russia enacted a bill on the windfall profit tax for large companies. The document envisages a one-time payment of the tax by the companies with a pretax profit of more than 1 billion rubles in 2021–2022, except oil, gas and coal firms. The tax was set at 10% of the profit for 2021–2022 that exceeded the profit for 2018–2019. A company can reduce the tax to 5%, if it makes a guarantee payment between October 1 and November 30, 2023.
